Admissions Basic Info

Students from around the world choose UNYP for the best in international, English-language university education.

Students can apply to complete one of our Bachelor's or Master's/MBA degree programs, or join us for a semester to add an international aspect to your education.

Our admissions coordinators are here to help prospective students with all aspects of the admissions process. They will be able to advise you on admission requirements, visa application details, completing the required documentation and your payment options. They will also be happy to answer any questions you may have about studying at UNYP, or living in Prague. You are welcome to visit us and sit in on our classes. We have an Entrance/English test every Tuesday.

Time schedule:

Interviews are scheduled after the test results are in 1-2 days.

Admission requirements are:

• Completed UNYP application form – you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form
• Certified copy of your diploma – if not ready yet you can submit it until September – you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form and you must post the certified copy with English translation if not in English
• Certified academic transcripts - you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form and you must post the certified copy with English translation if not in English
• Personal statement - a letter of motivation about how this program will assist with professional and personal goals - you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form
• Letter of recommendation - from professors or supervisors who can address the candidate’s ability and motivation for enrolling in this program – must come to us directly from the person who fills it in by email or post
• English language certificate – (The list below is for bachelor programs ONLY, for Master and MBA please contact us)
  - submit one of the following scores, OR alternatively sit the UNYP *English/Entrance Exam (Institutional English Exam)
  - TOEFL internet based test (ibt) 72 or above
  - IELTS Academic 5.5 or above
  - FCE A, B
  - CAE A, B, C
  - CPE A, B, C
  - City & Guilds C1, C2
  - Czech / Slovak State Exam in English
  - High Level Czech Maturita English Leaving Exam
  - IB Diploma A3
  All students must take English language entrance essay during UNYP’s orientation. If you score a grade of D or below, you will be required to take English Pre-Composition
• Copy of ID or Passport - you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form
• 2 Passport-size Photographs - you can submit on http://www.unyp.cz/admissions/application-form also send it by post
• Application Fee of 2.000 CZK (non-refundable) – please pay online when you finish the online application or pay in cash at UNYP or contact us
• Motivation interview - after submitting the required documents students are invited for an interview with the Head of Department – this interview will be conducted over the phone or video call for international applicants and it will decide your acceptance to the program.
