First Award of the DDB Scholarship

Our congratulations go to Lucie Voriskova, the first recipient of a DDB Scholarship. Lucie is in her final year of her degree at UNYP. Although born in the Czech Republic, Lucie has studied in both London and New Jersey. After graduating Lucie hopes to continue her career in the communications field.

The DDB Scholarship is awarded to either one or two students a year, and is offered to Czech Speaking students on the Mass Media and Communications degree program. The Scholarship is open to students in either their third or fourth years. The Scholarship involves a financial aspect as well as possible work placement activities and possibly future job offers on graduation.

DDB was founded in 1949, and is part of the Omnicom Group. DDB specialises in strategy and brand communications. DDB creates advertising, communications and enduring brand experiences. Their approach to marketing relies on insight into human nature, respect for the consumer, and belief in the power of creativity. They also aim to make the most of interactive and new media and communications through their digital unit Tribal DDB.
