UNYP Career Day 2010

A Career day organized by the UNYP Corporate Affairs Department and the UNYP Career Office was held on March 23rd, 2010. This year seven companies participated at this annual event including: DHL, CSC Computer Sciences, Accenture, Radio Free Europe, Unilever, Exxon Mobil and AIESEC.

The event allowed the participating organizations to detail their core business, and offer career opportunities for UNYP’s students. The students were able to explore potential future careers from among the best companies in Prague.

During the fair students were provided with a platform for their individual growth in terms of career development, and they had direct access to the HR Managers and HR coordinators who were happy to answer questions.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Taric Altumbabic, Resource Manager from CSC Computer Sciences said: “We recruited some UNYP graduates and we are highly satisfied with their performance. I’ve met many students today with a very high potential and I believe they will be successful in their careers. The profiles of students which we received today will be matched with our career opportunities”.

Some UNYP students and graduates found internships or job opportunities with Radio Free Europe, DHL, Accenture or Unilever and students who were not graduating this year found internships with AIESEC, which places students worldwide.

Magdalena Slamova, Recruiter Coordinator from Unilever said: “I am very surprised how well prepared the UNYP students who came to the Career Day were. They had a lot of information about each company and they had many questions and were self-driven. It was a pleasure to meet them and discuss their future plans.”

Despite the economic crises UNYP students were offered careers by the top companies and we wish them good luck in their next steps!
