UNYP Exhibition

The 19th UNYP exhibition, attended by students, staff, faculty and their guests,  was held recently at Legerova 72. The UNYP Rector Andreas Antonopoulos opened the exhibition, with the assistance of Karolina Hejcmanova as MC. The standard of drawing was truly stunning this year, and  the joyous spirit of creativity was enhanced with a poetry reading by Margarita Fatina, a modern dance by Libor Malota, and a RAP by Andrey Kudimov. The family atmosphere then continued as everyone admired the art and enjoyed refreshments.

The UNYP exhibition prepared by the Introduction to Drawing and Design class taught by Natasha Sutta, revealed a deep understanding of line, tone, color and composition. Students will have an opportunity to build on these skills in the summer class Introduction to Painting, also taught by Natasha Sutta. Once again faculty and staff expressed a desire for the drawings to be hung in their offices, so a selection of the students’ work will be added to the permanent display in classrooms and offices around the Legerova 72 building.
