UNYP Professor receives high honour

Prof. Jaroslav Sestak, M.Eng., Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.h.c., a long serving instructor at UNYP, was granted the honorary degree of “doctor honoris causa” from Pardubice University for his lifetime achievements in chemistry and physics. The award was bestowed during a ceremonial meeting of the university academic board in the presence of nine rectors and a range of deans of receptive universities, including the rector of UNYP. It is worth noting that this extraordinary recognition is conferred very rarely as is mostly reserved for prominent politicians, and seldom for prolific scientists and professors.
