Accommodation Options

We do not have our own accommodation facilities, but we can offer you our assistance with finding accommodation in cooperation with student dormitories, housing providers or real estate agencies and property owners. We try to provide our students with more options, depending on their individual needs and preferences, including the cheapest options available, which are student dormitories where prices may range from CZK 3.000 to 6.800 (approx. $ 157-360, € 120-270).

In shared apartments the price for a double room ranges between CZK 7.000 - 9.000 /per month (approx. : $ 370-475, € 280-360) and the average for a single room is CZK 10.000 - 12.000 /per month (approx. $ 526-630, € 400-480). The location of all apartments and dormitories is chosen carefully, taking into consideration its proximity to the University and to public transport access. The distance from the University is no more than 25-30 minutes by public transport.

Basically there are 3 types of accommodation/housing preferred by our students. Please check out the options listed below:

 

1. Accommodation in student dormitories:

  • Residence Domyno –Student dormitories in Prague 4 – Lhotka (up to 25 minutes from UNYP)

Accommodation in a newly renovated residence buildingof  214 single rooms with their own bathrooms and shared kitchens on each floor. The price includes heat, water, 24 hours reception, high-speed internet, a change of bed sheets every 14 days and parking.

Domyno Residence is part of a sport relaxation and gastronomic complex, which provides a wide range of services (restaurant, sport academy, wellness, room for bicycles, laundry etc.) that are necessary for study and relaxation.

  • Student dormitories Volha in Chodov-Prague 4 (up to 25 – 30 minutes from UNYP) – Attention: Places available only from Fall semesters with deadlines for registrations and deposits by the end of July

Accommodation in 2-bed and 3-bed rooms in apartments (there is a shared bathroom and a kitchen for 2 rooms). No single rooms available. All the utilities are included in the price. There is a connection to the computer network of ICT Prague (by an application) and a public phone line (by an application).

It is definitely the cheapest accommodation option in well-organized student dormitories. The student canteen is available in the residence complex, providing meals at very cheap prices. The minimum length of stay is 1 semester.

  • Apartman Student in Chodov-Prague 4 (up to 25 – 30 minutes from UNYP)

Comfortable accommodation in a new modern dormitory complex in 2-bed, 3-bed or 4-bedrooms in apartments with above standard equipment – own bathroom, fridge, plasma TV, tables, wardrobes, beds, internet and common kitchen.The minimum length of stay is 1 semester.

  • K Botici Student Residence in Prague 10 (up to 15 – 20 minutes from UNYP)
    Attention: New modern student house available from Fall Semester 2013

Accommodation in a newly renovated residence building designed to accommodate 178 students in 92 rooms - single, double and twin.

The price includes all the utilities (heating, water, electricity), 24/7 reception, high-speed internet, fridge in each room, common areas cleaning. Students are responsible for their rooms cleaning, possibility to arrange an extra charged room cleaning service.

 Available in the building: kitchen for every 12 rooms, study rooms, storage room (bicycles, skis etc.), fitness, student club, laundry, mail box and restaurant. The minimum length of stay is 1 semester.

2.  Shared Flats/Apartments in central locations

Residence building for student accommodation in Smíchov area (10-15 minutes from UNYP)
Accommodation is offered in 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments with shared facilities.The building has been completely restored to meet the needs of students. Each apartment contain living room furniture including a television, dining table and chairs, kitchens with basic crockery and cooking utensils, beds, study desks, and storage space.Prices per person/per room/per month include utilities and the internet access.

3. For rentals

If you wish to rent your own flat/studio, you can check out with rental agencies such as Happy House Rentals and Kentic that offer discounts on their services to all our students and other UNYP ID card holders (for more details, please see our Benefits Program).

Note: Before you sign a rental agreement, you should ensure that you are making a well-informed decision. Students are responsible for inspecting the premises and negotiating lease terms with the rental agencies or landlords.  UNYP disclaims any responsibility, among other things, for the condition of any premises, terms of any leases, treatment by any landlord, or compliance with any applicable local zoning ordinances.
