Dear students,

With the end of Summer and the start of Autumn, we are delighted to welcome our freshers and welcome back our hard-working, academically dedicated upperclassmen.  2015/2016 will be a very exciting year at UNYP!  We encourage all of you to “Take the next step” with UNYP and your education.

Just a few of the new projects and facilities that we are excited to reveal: 

• A brand new, expanded Library occupying the entire 1^st floor of our main building on Londýnská 41. This will include a new PC Lab, expanded space with extra PC terminals, a new study room and a bookable project room.
• The UNYP Café. The new UNYP café will open its doors in the basement, and will serve the UNYP student, faculty and staff community with hot and cold drinks and fresh food.
• TEDxUNYP. This high-profile, high-end event will be coming to UNYP in November thanks to the Student Council initiative. Student Council will organize this event and we are proud to present some very exciting thought and innovation leaders as speakers.   
• A new Counseling Center and a new Writing Lab, both available in UNYP’s second building at Belgická 40. 

I encourage you to get involved, to be active and to live and experience as much as you can during your university studies.  While it may feel like a long time ahead of you, I assure you that it will fly by, and will be a time you can reflect on as you mature as an adult and develop your career and life goals. Don’t let it be a period that you come to regret – engage in life in Prague, student clubs, student sports teams, internships, career days, etc. Experience all you can at this unique time in your life – learn inside and outside the classroom, make friends, build connections that will last a lifetime. 

On behalf of all of the Faculty and Administration at UNYP, it is with great joy that I welcome all of you to our newly renovated Londýnská campus. As with every year, we want you to be the center of our attention!  As with any major step forward in life, your university studies will bring many new challenges and opportunities. Be assured that all of the Faculty and Staff at UNYP are here to assist you with your studies and help you succeed as students.
