Ashley Melucci is an English teacher from Long Island, New York. In 2015, she received her bachelor’s degree from CUNY Hunter College in Manhattan, majoring in cultural anthropology with minors in art history and philosophy. Following this, she moved to Prague where she taught English for two years in various schools and businesses. In 2017, she moved to the United Kingdom where she attained her master’s degree in anthropological research from the University of Manchester, focusing on the implications of the Troubled Teen Industry in the United States through an ethnographic evaluation of teens’ experiences within such ‘troubled teen’ programs. Currently, she teaches English in Prague and runs a writer's critique group dealing with prose, poetry, screenplays, non-fiction and academic works.
