Michelle Duruttya has a master’s degree in TEFL and literature and a Ph.D. degree in corpus linguistics.

She has been working for University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate British Council as an examiner for all of the main suite examinations since 1999. She conducted linguistic research in Paris Diderot University, France, during her Ph.D. studies and attended/cooperated with Brighton University, UK, throughout her MA studies in addition to University of P.J. Safarik, Kosice, Slovak Republic.

Her career as a teacher/examiner and researcher led her to live and work in the USA, Asia as well as the EU remaining in long-term cooperation with the respective institutions.

She has vast experience as a teacher of English language, linguistics, academic writing alongside other skills; coordinator/examiner of Cambridge exams; director of studies and translator in various languages.

She works as Director of Studies/Academic Manager in MLA/Go Languages School every year as part of their summer program based at University of Roehampton, London, UK.

Outstanding academic activities: publications in linguistic periodicals, participation in linguistic conferences, member of the Belgian Association of Anglicists in Higher Education (BAAHE), member of the Slovak Association for the Study of English (SKASE), cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Hungary, Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, long-term Cooperation with the British Council and Cambridge ESOL.
