Ewa Grigar

A Fulbright scholar with a broad research scope ranging from consumer research to art history.

Dr. Grigar received her Ph.D. degree in sociology from the New School of Social Research in New York. Her dissertation work and present research is in the field of sociology of arts and culture. Apart from earning a Ph.D. and M.A. in sociology, she also holds a Master of Art History, Theory, and Criticism degree (with focus on Contemporary Art) from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Before moving to Prague Dr. Grigar also taught courses in sociology, media, and art history in Chicago and New York. She has worked on diverse research projects such as the consumer research and labor law violations in New York City, and was an
American Fulbright Scholar to the Czech Republic in 2001.
