3 Prague attractions for water lovers

1. Boat trips

If you are new to Prague and studying abroad for a semester, a spring boat trip is the perfect choice for you. Trips vary from shorter one-hour guided tours to whole-day trips through Prague and its surroundings.

However, should you wish to feel more like a local, take a ferryboat for a scenic tour along the river – boarding from the center or from Stromovka Park – to Prague Zoo, ranked the fourth best zoo in the world. We bet you can afford such an extraordinary means of transport – it costs the same as a public bus or a tram, which is less than 2 USD! This is how to commute like a boss, isn’t it?

2. Křižík’s Fountain

One place you definitely mustn’t miss in Prague is Křižík’s Fountain. This truly breathtaking wonder is named after the technological genius František Křižík, a guy clearly far ahead of his time with his invention of the electric arc lamp, the first Prague tram track – and this amazing work of water art.

Křižík’s Fountain uniquely combines a delicate interconnection of music, light and water show, presenting a cunning choreography of smaller and bigger water pipes, dancing to the tune of the world’s best music, changing its colors in sync with the rhythm.

TIP: To get  the most out of the show, instead of selecting such obvious tunes as the World’s Best Film Music or the latest Dancefloor compilation, showcasing the genius of such luminaries as JLo, Britney Spears, and Pitbull, opt for the jewel of Czech classical music, Bedřich Smetana’s ‘My Country‘ (‘Má vlast‘) with its central composition ‘The Vltava River‘. We guarantee the delicately-beautiful, rousing orchestral symphonies will knock you off your feet and give you goosebumps!

3. Wet Workout
