Expand your horizons!
TEDxUNYP
When: Saturday March 28
Where: Prague Municipal Library
Admission: 1,200 CZK
This year’s TEDxUNYP is set to be truly special. For the first time, we are hosting it at the theater of Prague Municipal Library, with 400 comfortable seats, a big stage, and plenty of places to socialize during the breaks. We are very proud of our line-up of speakers from vastly diverse fields: communication, psychology, digital marketing, entertainment, HR, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, sports, choreography, music, technology, and philanthropy. The ticket includes delicious vegan & non-vegan lunch options by Zátiší Catering, soft drinks, snacks and coffee, interactive activities including VR and E-sports zones, the TED Circles sub-event, and of course a TEDxUNYP goodie bag.
Street Food Festival
When: Sunday April 19, from 10:00 to 18:00
Where: Cross Club
Admission: free
Spring is on the way, and that means food festivals are back. Every weekend you can find a line-up of trucks and tents somewhere in Prague, but the Cross Club’s Street Food Festival is famous for its high quality. They bring together amazing chefs who take street food to a whole different level, create a friendly atmosphere, and attract all the local foodies. Grab your UNYP friends for a lazy Sunday, and try something new and delicious!
Open House Prague
When: May 11-17
Where: Various venues (program to be announced)
Admission: free
Prague Open House is one of the most exciting architectural events in the city. During an entire week in May, visitors have access to buildings around the city which are usually inaccessible to the public. It is an excellent opportunity for both local and international students to get some in-depth knowledge about Prague’s urban history. This event is English-friendly and welcomes people of all ages and professions – you don’t have to be an architecture and design expert to enjoy the tour. You can check out previous years’ venues on the website, and follow Open House Praha on social media for updates on this year’s program.
Startup World Cup and Summit
When: April 28-29
Where: Cubex Centre Prague
Admission: Student ticket 1,890CZK
This event is a little pricy, but well worth it for students who are interested in expanding their professional network, looking for internships and full-time jobs. You’re studying at one of Europe’s top business hubs, and attending events like this could be extremely beneficial for your future career. Time to update your LinkedIn page and order those business cards!
Prague Spring Festival
When: May 7-June 4
Where: Various venues
Admission: 30 CZK per event
The Prague Spring Festival is an opportunity to enjoy performances by world-famous musicians, symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
