Celebrating ACCA Accreditation of UNYP Study Programs

On Tuesday 7 April Katka Benesova and Eva Kovarova from the Prague office of ACCA visited UNYP.

The ACCA is a UK-based global association of accounting professionals and awards the eponymous accountancy qualification. Candidates must pass a total of 14 examinations in order to obtain the ACCA qualification and this is a compulsory requirement for audit trainees at the Big Four accounting firms and many other multinational corporations. For UNYP and ESC graduates in business administration, the path to ACCA certification is shorter – our business programmes have been awarded exemption accreditation. We originally gained exemption accreditation in 2005 and this was renewed in 2010 and again as of 1 January 2015. Students graduating with European and American bachelors degrees in business administration are eligible for exemptions from up to three ACCA exams. During their presentation Katka and Eva told us that the Czech Republic has the highest pass rate of any country in the world for ACCA exams. A case of being in the right place, at the right time.

For more information about eligibility for exemptions students should contact the UNYP Business Department.
