Current Information about the flood situation in Prague

Even though the current flooding does not affect our school and UNYP is operating as normal, and we are aware of no student emergencies, please take note of the following information regarding current and future flood situation in Prague:

    inquiries (English is spoken by some of the staff).

  • If you experience any difficulties be it flooding, evacuation, transportation or any other issue in Prague, please do not hesitate to contact the Student Affairs Office at this email or call emergency line:  724 101 207 (please this line is for true emergencies only).

Please note as of 16hr today, June 3, there is no general emergency declared by Prague City Hall nor by the CR government.  There are isolated areas affected by the floods, and if you are directly involved, then please contact us at the above information.  Although no general emergency has been declared, rain is expected (on and off) throughout the week.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Student Affairs Office if you need any assistance.

All the student dormitories in Prague 4 (Volha, ApartmanStudent and Domyno) and in residency houses in Prague 5 Smichov, in which some of our students are accommodated, are safe and no evacuation or other emergency is expected in those precise areas.

Classes at UNYP run normally and without disruptions. Should a student fail to make it to class due to serious transport issues related to the current situation in Prague, he/she should contact their Instructor in the class to discuss his/her case and plan for possible make-up work if and when needed.
