Eva Anderová appointed new Vice President at the University of New York in Prague

The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is proud to welcome a new senior executive to its team, Ing. Eva Anderová, Mrs. Anderová will serve as the University’s Vice President for Public Affairs.  She will be tasked with leading initiatives to bring attention to matters of higher-education and private higher-education to the media and public sectors for the purpose of generating understanding as to how UNYP and private higher-education fits into the greater educational ecosystem within the Czech Republic and Europe.

Mrs. Anderová has spent her recent years within the diplomatic and public sectors as she is the current Honorary Consul of Zambia to the Czech Republic as well as a former Deputy Minister of Finance for the Czech Republic.  Mrs. Anderová has no party affiliation and has served the Czech Republic under many governments and parties before her departure from the Ministry of Finance which will help bring a balanced, objective overview to the University.  Before her career in the public sector, Mrs. Anderová was the CEO and Publisher of the well-known publication, The Prague Post, from 2003-2006.

“This is an excellent match, the University of New York in Prague is regarded as the top English language private university in the country and I feel that my skills, and expertise can help bring that message out to public.  It is time that Czech Republic realizes there is a strong difference between higher-educational institutions in the private sector, they are not all equal in quality and UNYP has spent 20 years delivering excellence in the Czech Republic and internationally.  It is proven in its students and especially their Alumni,” commented Mrs. Anderová.

“It is not every day that someone with the experience and network of Mrs. Anderová is available, we knew immediately that she would be the perfect person to help us with our vision of bringing the very best of private English language higher-education to the central and eastern European regions and to help communicate our vision in the Czech Republic,” said Mr. Ilias Foutsis, President of the University of New York in Prague.
