Looking back at TEDxUNYP 2022

TEDxUNYP 2022 was held on September 24th at UNYP Arena. We were honored and happy to organize and host this year’s TEDxUNYP event. Following the success of last year’s TEDxUNYP, the TEDxUNYP team felt that the 2022 event needed to go even further. It wasn’t easy, but our amazing team nailed it!

Mark Anderson, the TEDxUNYP organizer and licensee, summarized the event:
“The theme of this year’s event is the product of our journeys. It is about chasing progress and change, overcoming stigmas and hardships, and arriving at breakthroughs and discovery. We present TEDxUNYP 2022: Evolution. We hope that each of you will experience your own evolution – the opening of your mind to new ideas and opinions. Take yourselves out of the echo chambers of the ordinary and prepare to be challenged, and changed.”

Let’s take a closer look into all the elements of this event:

14 Speakers and Performers

This year we gathered speakers from around the world – naturally, including the Czech Republic. TEDxUNYP welcomed leaders from diverse backgrounds, including the humanities, NFTs, space, productivity, coding, archeology, neuroscience, and dyslexia. In addition to the 13 speakers, TEDxUNYP invited the outstanding choreographer and creative director Jakub Dvorak, who used the medium of dance to convey a message of peace on the TEDxUNYP stage with his dancing school, Fragments Production.
Venue and Stage
As with last year, TEDxUNYP was held at the UNYP Arena, with a capacity of 500 people. The stage consisted of three large LED screens and an 80m2 platform, facilitating multimedia presentations and performance.

Team and Volunteers

We must give credit to UNYP’s amazing team of volunteers, who organized the entire event. The core team consisted of 7 people, supported by over 20 additional volunteers. We are proud to have such active students who dedicated two days of their free time to TEDxUNYP.

All videos are currently being processed, and will soon be available on the official TEDx YouTube channel as well as on the TEDxUNYP website.

In the meantime, you can scroll through the photos from TEDxUNYP 2022 here, and watch TEDxUNYP talks from previous years here.

We hope that you all enjoyed this amazing event, and we look forward seeing you next year!
