UNYP joins the 2016 KPMG International Case Competition

This year the University of New York in Prague was well represented at the 2016 KPMG International Case Competition with a full UNYP team made up of four Business Administration students and the winning team with one of our prestigious alumni!

The UNYP team was represented by Lukáš Bláha, Matouš Hartman, Pavel Jiránek and Jakub Malota, who took part in the Prague round of the competition together with more than 30 other teams and they managed to move up in to the top 12 which progressed to the national round which took place on Thursday, February 11^th in the KPMG offices.  The task in this later round was that each team, with very limited time, had to prepare a strategic plan for an airline and present it in front of senior managers of KPMG. While the UNYP team was unfortunately not in the final three, it was for sure a great learning experience as well as a great networking opportunity. As Matouš Hartman notes: “We experienced how we would work under pressure since we had only three hours to prepare the strategic plan and presentation.”

On a very positive note though, one of our UNYP success stories did make it to the international round which will take place in Dubai; our very own Denisa Valsová, former Student Council President and one of the winners of the very prestigious CFA Research Challenge 2015. We are very proud of all of our UNYP students that participated and did so well and we wish Denisa the very best of luck in the next round!
