UNYP Scholarships 2016-2017 – Am I eligible?

So you’ve finally been accepted to the University of New York in Prague or are you still considering your studies here? We all know the programs are high-quality and prestigious – but for some of you also financially demanding. Don’t worry, hold your head up high! There are many ways to obtain a scholarship or tuition discount to ease your worries and allow you to focus on the most important thing: getting a good education.

Just follow this summary of the available options divided among undergraduate (BA) and graduate (M.A., MBA, M.Sc., LL.M and PhD) programs. We are sure that at least one of them will suit your needs!

There are different scholarships available for applicants depending on their academic merit, financial needs, and even athletic accomplishments. Merit scholarships offer up to 50% reduction in tuition fees, the Barbara Hasek Adams Scholarship covers even up to 100% of tuition and athletic scholarships reduce fees by 10%-20%.

Scholarships and financial aid are not only offered to new students, but also current UNYP students. Current undergraduate students are eligible for early payment discounts, housing and social stipends. UNYP also recognizes its students for their hard work through Academic Achievement Awards, which are applicable to all current bachelor full-time students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.81 or above. “It’s always nice to be recognized for your hard work,” says Amit Grinvald, one of our Academic Achievement Award recipients, “knowing that UNYP cares and is willing to financially reward the students who are committed to their studies is a great way to stay motivated.”

Graduate students are also eligible for scholarships and financial support. Up to 120.000 CZK can be awarded to students who exhibit excellent GMAT scores, and up to 15.000 CZK can be awarded to applicants with extensive managerial work experience. There are also graduate program discounts for full advanced payment, early payment, being a UNYP alumnus, or being accepted to work as a Graduate Research Assistant.

UNYP also cares about those that care!  If you’re Czech or Slovak and a full-time employee of a non-profit organization or non-profit association involved in the delivery of community welfare services, emergency relief, environmental issues and public service, you have our respect! Such applicants are eligible for a 15% tuition fee waiver.

Lastly, if you’re having trouble paying the full tuition fees at once, there’s no need to worry, UNYP can work with you to create a special individual payment calendar to spread the cost of the tuition fees over a semester.

As you can see, there are really many options to save you unnecessary stress. If you’re interested in a particular scholarship, award or a discount, check out the detailed conditions and then go for it! Time is of the essence! Take the next step, we know you can do it!
