The University of New York in Prague has always been incredibly proud of our alumni. Every year we celebrate their achievements, and acknowledge and reward an alumnus or alumna with the Alumni of the Year Award. Our dynamic community of more than 3,000 alumni has made a significant impact around the world in business, politics, science, and public life. UNYP alumni change the world for the better, and UNYP believes in recognizing and rewarding their efforts.
“The University of New York in Prague has reached its current high level of recognition thanks to the quality of our alumni. All of our graduates are UNYP ambassadors who become leaders in their respective spheres, and build successful careers in the Czech Republic and all over the world. Many of our alumni have consistently shown dedication to their alma mater, and have supported a broad range of projects and initiatives that have made a positive impact over the years,” says Sotiris Foutsis, General Manager of the University of New York in Prague.
Danai has maintained a close relationship with UNYP since graduating in 2016 with a double Bachelor’s degree (B.A. and Bc. Communication and Mass Media) and in 2019 with a master’s degree in Strategic Communication. She has consistently represented UNYP at university fairs and participated as a member of the Student Council (Vice-President position). Danai has also organized and hosted MUNYP conferences, and the 4th International High School Model United Nations Conference 2020 in Prague for more than 100 students from various countries around the world. In 2018, Danai began an effective brand campaign at Unilever, where she also organized the Unilever CRSR Internal Conference for 350 people. Dani is now building a career as a Brand Manager at Maspex. She is a prime example of a proud, smart, and hard-working UNYP alumna.
Lucie graduated in 2012. During her studies at UNYP, Lucie always pursued activities benefitting the majority of students in her capacity as President of the Student Council, and she has taken the same public-spirited approachsince entering professional life. Lucie’s work for EU institutions in the field of communication has enabled her to use livestreams and successful information campaigns to convey relevant information to the general public about the importance of EU membership. Communication and presentation have been integral to Lucie’s professional career, as exemplified by the speeches she has made representing EU communications projects at international conferences. Nevertheless, Lucie has never detached herself from her roots in the UNYP community, and has been invited to the university as a guest speaker. She plans to be involved even more often in the future, both to promote EU traineeships (she is a mentor and advisor of EU trainees) and to foster a full awareness of the way in which EU institutions operate. During the pandemic, Lucie has been organizing an aid program that distributes handmade masks for elderly people in need, while also managing crisis communication and workplace well-being projects for around 900 employees.
