PULSE lecture with Ing. Mirek Topolánek

On March 27th, you have an unique opportunity to meet with a well-known politician and former  Prime Minister of the Czech Republic – Ing. Mirek Topolánek.

He will deliver a lecture entitled Failings of Democracy and Economic Consequences.

Ing. Topolánek began his successful career in the energy sector where he remains active to this day. He started his political career as a Member of the Czech Parliament in 1996. From 2006 - 2009 he was the Prime Minister of Czech Republic. In 2009, Mr. Topolánek served as the EU Council’s President, when the Czech Republic held the presidency of the European Council. That same year he was actively involved in solving the gas crisis in Ukraine.

Nowadays, retired from high politics, Mirek Topolánek is active in the energy industry. He holds several high profile positions, such as, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Opatovice Power Plant and the International Development and Public Affairs Director and board member of TSO Eustream, Slovakia.
