A Historic First for UNYP at the International Student Psychology Days!

We are proud to celebrate a unique achievement by two of our brilliant students, who represented UNYP for the very first time at the International Student Psychology Days and achieved outstanding results!

Congratulations to:

Marleen Santantonio, who earned 1st place in the Czech category and an exceptional 1st place overall in the Czech-Slovak bachelor’s level presentations with her paper: «The Association Between Childhood Trauma and Perceived Stress in Women with PCOS.»

Daniela Vajdová, whose research «The Role of Prefrontal Cortex and Paraventricular Thalamic Nucleus in a Mouse Model of Binge Eating Disorder: Evidence for Food-related Pathological Decision-making» secured 2nd place in the Czech category and an impressive 2nd place overall in the Czech-Slovak bachelor’s ranking!

Your hard work, passion, and excellence in research have set a high standard for UNYP students, and your success marks a special moment for our university. We are super proud of you both!

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the mentors and supporters who made this success possible:

Jana Ter-Akopow Čemusová
Dr. David Levcik
Dr. Enrico Patrono
Doc. Marek Preiss
Marta Kouba Stiglitzova

Your invaluable support, guidance, and encouragement played a crucial role in this achievement.

Marleen and Daniela, your success is an inspiration to your fellow students and a motivation for future researchers. We are already looking forward to the next edition of International Student Psychology Days in České Budějovice 2026!

Congratulations once again!
