UNYP Completes Hardware Renewal Project

The University of New York in Prague has recently concluded its ambitious Hardware Renewal Project. After nearly four months of continuous work, the last pieces of decommissioned hardware have been removed. This project not only upgraded the university’s technological infrastructure but also facilitated the donation of equipment to charity organizations.

The success of the project can be attributed to the efforts of the entire UNYP community. The IT Helpdesk team played a pivotal role in moving, unpacking, assembling, and installing over 150 new devices, while also ensuring the safe disposal of decommissioned hardware.

Thanks to the successful completion of the Hardware Renewal Project, UNYP have now several achievements that set it apart from other Czech educational institutions:

  1. All desktop computers at the university are new, powerful, ergonomic, and all-in-one
  2. All computers run on the latest Windows 11 operating system
  3. Students and staff work on 23/24-inch monitors with Full HD resolution
