Steve Borg

Steve Borg is an Organizational Psychologist and a lecturer. Originally from Malta, he holds a BA in Psychology and Philosophy, a Higher National Diploma in Psychology, and is a CELTA-qualified English teacher. His background in language teaching first sparked his curiosity about gamification and how creative approaches can make learning more engaging—a theme that has shaped much of his work since. He later completed an MSc in Organizational and Work Psychology at the University of Limerick, where he explored the role of gamification in both education and workplace training. His undergraduate research looked at how primary school teachers bring gamified techniques into their classrooms, while his master’s project investigated how gamified training affects the way job applicants perceive potential employers compared with traditional methods. Alongside his research, Borg has a strong interest in train-the-trainer programs, soft skills development, and self-regulation strategies, with a focus on helping both educators and learners build the tools they need to grow, adapt, and succeed.
