Jaromír is a lecturer at the University of New York in Prague and a Master's student in English-American Studies at Charles University. He is an experienced educator with over a decade of teaching English and writing, holding a University of Cambridge CELTA certificate. He brings his passion for a wide range of literary movements and figures into the classroom. His research interests span the poetry of John Donne, the 18th-century English novel, and the moral philosophy of the Scottish Enlightenment, as well as modernists like James Joyce and Virginia Woolf and the Beat Generation's William S. Burroughs. Beyond his academic work, Jaromír is a published poet, editor, and cultural organizer. He is the Director of Poetics at the art collective OBJECT:PARADISE and has successfully organized several grant-awarded literature festivals and art happenings. His scholarly contributions include co-editing a critical collection of essays with Louis Armand and an article in Robert Carrithers's City Primeval - New York, Berlin, Prague.
