Yesterday at UNYP, we had the pleasure of hosting Women’s Empowerment: Sport and Psychology, organized in collaboration with the Český florbal Association and the Women’s Power platform.
The 90-minute roundtable focused on a topic that is often underestimated in sport — the power of the mind.
We were honored to welcome :
🔷 Linda Fuchsová, silver medalist at the 2025 World Floorball Championships
🔷 Lucie Neumannová, UNYP student, professional athlete, and influencer
🔷 Jana Novotná, sports psychologist working with AC Sparta Prague
🔷 Lukáš Procházka, head coach of the Czech women’s national floorball team
🔷 Moderated by Nikola Katolická
Together, they explored:
• Mental preparation and performance pressure
• Injuries, setbacks, and identity beyond results
• Balancing sport, studies, and future careers
• Women’s empowerment in competitive environments
One of the most powerful moments came when the audience reflected on how many of us have projected confidence while internally doubting ourselves. The response made one thing clear: pressure is universal, but so is our ability to build resilience.
A key takeaway from the discussion: mental strength is not a personality trait. It is a skill. And like any skill, it can be trained.
UNYP was honored to promote a dialogue taking place at the intersection of sport, psychology, and academic development.
Thank you to all speakers and partners for an open and inspiring discussion.
