Gender Equality Commitment and Roadmap

The University of New York in Prague’s Gender Equality Plan (July 2025) outlines its commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive, and equitable academic and work environment. Rooted in European frameworks and ethical standards, the plan focuses on increasing female representation in academia, promoting work-life balance, eliminating gender bias, and supporting career development for all genders. It introduces concrete measures such as regular data audits, anonymous surveys, bias-free recruitment practices, mentorship programs, flexible work arrangements, and comprehensive parental leave policies. The university also mandates gender sensitivity training, organizes workshops, and upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy against gender-based violence and harassment. A dedicated Gender Equality Committee will oversee the plan’s implementation, ensuring transparency through public reporting and stakeholder engagement. The plan is officially approved by the university’s leadership and will be reviewed regularly to adapt to evolving needs.
