Application
The Center for Global Engagement will evaluate each Outbound Erasmus/Exchange application according to the criteria below. Upon submission, your application will be evaluated and, based on your preferences and on the points you earn, we will place you to one of the universities from your preference list.
As there are limited spots at each partner university every year, and as many students are applying to the same universities, spots at preferred universities will be awarded to students who score the highest on the scale below.
Once you are placed at a university from your preference list, the CGE department will contact you to confirm that you would like to move forward with your placement.
This procedure will be valid from the selection process for Fall 2023 semester. We will be accepting applications from the beginning of the Spring 2023 semester.
Application Evaluation Rubric
- Larger weight to students who submit their applications early (6 weeks prior to deadline at the earliest)
- Larger weight to students who are in their 2nd and 3rd year at UNYP
- Larger weight to students who are applying to a school that has courses in their program
- Larger weight to strong motivation statement
- Extra point for students with a contribution to UNYP (leading a student club, Gaudeamus/TEDx/Orientation week help, etc.)
We ask students to list three universities they would be happy to study abroad at. This is recommended as we have limited places at each partner university. When processing your application we will aim to give you the first university listed, however, depending on demand, we may have allocate you to any of the universities you have listed. Therefore, we ask student to have an equal interest in all of them.
