Summer Journeys: UNYP Employees Share Their Travel Plans

As summer hits full swing, members of the UNYP team are making the most of their holidays — from romantic escapes to adventurous road trips and design-driven city breaks.

Zuzana from Reception spent a few dreamy days in Venice, where warm weather, charming canals, and a boat trip to the vibrant islands of Burano and Murano made for the perfect romantic getaway.

• Zuzana’s tip: Visit Burano in the early morning to beat the crowds and catch the best light for photos of the colorful houses — it’s a TikTok favorite for a reason!

Adiya from the Admissions Team went full adventure mode — camping in Branná, rafting through the scenic beauty of Český Krumlov, and visiting the architectural gem of Wrocław.

• Adiya’s tip: In Český Krumlov, opt for a short rafting route and stop mid-way at riverside bars — you can float and sip at the same time (just don’t drop your paddle!).

Valeria from the Accounting Team chose a modern escape in Copenhagen, where clean design, innovative architecture, and cool weather offered a refreshing break from the summer heat.

• Valeria’s tip: Rent a bike and use the Bycyklen app — it’s the best way to explore Copenhagen like a local and cruise through the city’s hidden architectural gems.

Jan from the Marketing Team, who you can spot in the photo, had quite the itinerary — he visited Rome, joined a lively bachelor party in Amsterdam, and recently enjoyed some adrenaline on a rafting trip near Jablonec.

• Jan’s tip: In Rome, skip the long Colosseum lines by booking a guided tour through the underground section — it’s less crowded, cooler in temperature, and makes for incredible content.
