In Recognition of Service and Support: UNYP at Vyskov’s Military Academy

On May 27, 2025, the Czech Armed Forces welcomed the University of New York in Prague to a special recognition event at the Military Academy in Vyškov. This event highlighted the ongoing cooperation between UNYP and the Czech Armed Forces. Additionally, General Karel Řehka, Chief of the General Staff, hosted the event.

The ceremony honored employers who actively support members of the Active Reserves. These partnerships play a crucial role in connecting civil institutions with national defense. Moreover, UNYP was honored to attend and grateful to the Czech Army for the invitation. They appreciated the opportunity to take part in this meaningful event.

UNYP was represented by Dr. David Anthony Procházka, Dean of the School of Business and IT. He is also an Active Reservist at the Cyber and Information Warfare Command. Moreover, Clark Steele, Director of Marketing, also attended the event. Their presence highlighted UNYP’s ongoing commitment to civic responsibility. Furthermore, it emphasized their support for individuals who serve both in uniform and in higher education.

The program included military demonstrations and discussions with senior defense leaders. In addition, it delivered a clear message about the importance of employer support in strengthening national readiness.
