This lecture will explore the history of multilateralism, with focus on the negotiations as a conflict-resolution tool in democratic societies. This lecture will offer perspectives on the contemporary crisis and will address the question: Why does the invasion of Ukraine challenge the current world order? The lecture will also offer perspectives on the role of OSCE and the possible factors behind the indicators of the OSCE lost of its input in the platform aim to strengthen the dialogue between the “East” and the “West”. It will explore how we can reinvent the supranational structures in order for them to be prepared to manage and transform conflicts, mediation and dialogue-facilitation and the gap between early warning and early action.
