Prague, Czech Republic
The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is delighted to announce the opening of its new Representative Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. A major milestone in UNYP’s continued expansion and its deepening engagement with students and partners across Central Asia.
The new office marks the next chapter in UNYP’s long-standing relationship with Kazakhstan, a country whose students have enriched the university’s multicultural community in Prague for many years. With this new presence, UNYP aims to bring its message, mission, and opportunities closer to students and families across the region who aspire to earn American and European degrees in the heart of Europe.
A Strategic Step in UNYP’s Global Vision
UNYP’s Representative Office in Kazakhstan will serve as a regional hub for information, collaboration, and connection. From Almaty, the office will actively promote UNYP’s academic programs, scholarships, and partnerships while providing personalized guidance to students exploring study opportunities in Prague.

This initiative is a cornerstone of UNYP’s broader internationalization strategy, one that emphasizes localized presence, cultural understanding, and a student-centered approach. The university’s goal is to offer prospective students in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia a trusted, accessible point of contact to learn about life at UNYP and the benefits of earning both American and European degrees that open doors worldwide.
Leadership and Partnership
The new office will be led by Ms. Aida Sultanali, who has been appointed as UNYP’s Recruitment and Engagement Officer in Kazakhstan. Ms. Sultanali brings extensive experience in international education and a deep understanding of the region’s academic landscape. She recently completed an official visit to Prague, during which she met with UNYP leadership and staff.
During her visit, UNYP had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Timur Akhmetzhanov, Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic, for a discussion on strengthening educational cooperation.

Representing UNYP at the meeting were Eva Anderová (Vice President for Public Affairs), Dr. Harrison James (Vice Rector), George Mesazos (Chief Operating Officer), and Prof. PaedDr. Radka Wildová, CSc (Vice Rector), along with members of UNYP’s vibrant Kazakh student community.
A Commitment to Students and Families
“UNYP has always been an international university, home to students from more than 80 countries,” said Eva Anderová, Vice President for Public Affairs. “The opening of our Almaty office reflects our deep commitment to supporting students and families locally, providing guidance, trust, and personal connection from the very beginning of their journey.”
Looking Ahead
The Representative Office of the University of New York in Prague in Almaty will serve as a gateway for students across Central Asia, offering dedicated support on academic programs, admissions, scholarships, and student life in Prague.
Through this initiative, UNYP continues to strengthen its role as a global bridge between cultures, ideas, and educational excellence, bringing the best of American and European higher education to one of the most dynamic regions of the world.
