Celebrating an Historic Silver and Record Attendance at Women’s WFC

This December, the UNYP Marketing Team attended the 2025 Women’s World Floorball Championships in Brno and Ostrava. The tournament proved to be a milestone for the sport, culminating in a historic silver medal for the Czech national team following a closely contested 2:0 final against Switzerland.

The event also saw an increase in public interest, setting a new attendance record with 67,736 total fans. This reached its peak during the final match, where 8,844 spectators gathered at the Ostravar Arena to support the national team.

Strengthening Our Partnership

As a partner of Czech Floorball, UNYP was delighted to support the event and the Czech Floorball community. Our current collaboration focuses on the development of young talent through the “Goal of the Month” series on the “Mládežnický florbal” social media channels.

Beyond the matches, the UNYP team also attended the “No Power Like Women Power” conference, which offered valuable perspectives on the professional sports world from figures such as Gabriela Soukalová and Eliška Krupnová.

Building on our commitment to the community, UNYP is currently preparing a Women’s Empowerment Seminar for this February. The seminar will be open to U17 players, with a focus on personal development and the professional future of women in sport.
