Building Academic Bridges at UNYP

We were honored to welcome representatives of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand to the University of New York in Prague (full list of the Presidents in the Comment section).

Our sincere thanks go to Asst. Prof. Pomthong Malakul Na Ayudhaya, Ph.D., Secretary General, visited UNYP and engaged in meaningful discussions with our colleagues, Andreas Antonopoulos, Radka Wildova, Harrison James, Todd Nesbitt, and Marie Stanovska.

The visit marked an important step in strengthening international academic collaboration. Discussions focused on:

➡️ Academic and research excellence
➡️ Mobility and human capital development
➡️ Innovation and entrepreneurship
➡️ Dual and joint degree programs

Beyond our existing cooperation, we also explored opportunities to expand partnerships with additional leading Thai universities, aligning on shared priorities in education, research, and student mobility.

Next steps include follow-up meetings at APAIE | Asia-Pacific Association for International Education 2026, preparation of Memoranda of Understanding with new partner universities, and deeper exploration of collaboration in academic mobility, research initiatives, and double-degree programs.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue and building long-term, meaningful partnerships between our institutions.
