  • Double Degree Option

    Students in an American bachelor’s degree program that choose to major in Business Administration, Communication & Media, International & Economic Relations, or Psychology have the option of sitting the Czech state exams upon completion of their program. Successful candidates are then awarded double degrees consisting of both an American degree from the State University of New York, Empire State College and a European degree from UNYP.

  • American Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media

    The average adult now spends over 11 hours using communications media per day. That is more time than we work, sleep, or do anything else. The rest of the time, when not sleeping, we also spend communicating in other ways. Entire industries have formed in recent years to create, spread, regulate, and enrich this communication. The Communication and Mass Media degree at UNYP aims to meet the urgent need for communication professionals who understand the powerful role of communication in today’s world, and can make it work for the betterment of society.

  • Course Content

    The first two years of the study program are intended to give you a comprehensive overview of the fascinating and ubiquitous areas of communication and media. From intrapersonal to mass, you will become familiar with the true character of communication and media, and see how it is at the very heart of everything we do.

    In your third year, you will have the opportunity to choose and study a number of courses in three main areas that emphasize the development of practical skills: media writing, public relations and advertising. These areas serve to combine the theoretical with the applied, and provide students with solid professional grounding in professional theory and practice, thereby preparing them for the workplace.

    You can tailor your own academic experience to fit your professional needs, and can choose from an array of different electives from Social Media Marketing to Sociolinguistics - the choice is yours.
