Most of Anna's research focuses on music subcultures, gender, and race issues, in particular related to hip hop. She received her Master's degree in gender studies (Faculty of Humanities), and her PhD in sociology (Faculty of Social Sciences) from Charles University in Prague. Anna is a member of Gender Expert Chambre of the Czech Republic.
