Elmira Uysal Ljapina

Elmira Uysal Ljapina is a researcher and lecturer at the University of New York in Prague, teaching the legal environment of business, human rights, and media law from comparative, European, and international perspectives. Her research focuses on international and European law, human rights, and emerging regulatory challenges, particularly in environmental, energy, and space governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Public International Law from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague. She combines academic research and teaching with long-standing professional legal experience and public engagement. A two-time TEDxUNYP speaker (2021 & 2024), she is also co-founder and chairperson of KITAP.
