Martina Mana is a neuropsychologist whose research addresses the assessment of cognition and everyday functional capacity across the lifespan. She completed her Bachelor`s degree in psychology at Palacky University Olomouc and Master of Science degree in Neuropsychology at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. She is presently completing her doctorate at Charles University, where her dissertation investigates the cognitive profile of the perimenopausal transition and the empirical status of subjective cognitive complaints in this population. Her previous research addressed instrumental activities of daily living in neurodegenerative disorders, conducted in the Jiri Diamant Laboratory at General University Hospital in Prague by collaboration with prof. Ondřej Bezdíček (Charles University) and prof. Maureen Schmitter-Edgecombe (Washington State University). She is a member of the COSACTIW project and has previously collaborated with the General University Hospital in Prague on the EXCELES and LOCALED research programmes. At the University of New York in Prague she teaches Theory of Psychological Assessment. She additionally lectures at Charles University in Neurobehavioural Functioning and in Human Anatomy, Physiology and Genetics.
