Over the past 30 years, Natalia Dombinskaya has held a wide range of roles within English language teaching, among them teacher trainer, language school director, and researcher. Currently a PhD candidate at Charles University, her research focuses on comparative education and the professional development of foreign language teachers. She has presented at the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) multiple times and has served on the ECER peer review panel since 2024.
Over the years, Mgr. Dombinskaya has worked with several prominent Czech institutions, such as the Czech Ministry of Agriculture, Czech Railways (České dráhy), VZP (General Health Insurance Company), the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure, and Prague Municipal Services. This practical experience informs her doctoral research, which compares teacher professional development approaches in the Czech Republic and Finland. She also researches the challenges that Czech school teachers face in linguistically diverse classrooms, especially those supporting refugee students.
Drawing on both academic research and classroom experience, she helps language learners build their linguistic proficiency while supporting foreign language teachers with practical professional development that improves teaching quality and benefits education systems as a whole.
