Dr. Joseph Dodds is a fully qualified psychoanalyst, a full member of the Czech Psychoanalytical Society (International Psychoanalytical Association), a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), and Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society, a Clinical Fellow of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society, a Chartered Scientist (CSci) with the Science Council, UK, and a Registered Clinical Psychotherapist with the UKCP and the Czech Association for Psychotherapy. He is also a member of numerous other professional organizations and an academic reviewer for several journals. Dr. Dodds is a practicing psychotherapist in private practice with over two decades of clinical experience, and at UNYP teaches the courses ‘The Uses of Experimental Methods in Psychology’, ‘Psychology of Art’, ‘Living in Social and Political Crisis’, 'Social Psychology', ‘The Psychology of Climate Change, Coronavirus and Environmental Crisis’, and ‘Psychoanalysis and Film’. He also teaches at the Anglo-American University, Prague, the Czech Psychoanalytical Society, the Prague Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, and the Centre for Leadership and Affective Neuroscience (C-LAN). Joseph Dodds holds a BSc in Psychology and Neuroscience from Manchester University, an MA and an MPhil in Psychoanalytic Studies from Sheffield University, a PhD from the University of Bolton, as well as numerous other diplomas and professional qualifications. Dr. Dodds' research interests include the dialogue between psychoanalysis and neuroscience, and the application of psychological insight into the domains of society, art and nature. Currently his main focus is on the psychology of climate change and he is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and chapters, including the groundbreaking book Psychoanalysis and Ecology at the Edge of Chaos: Complexity theory, Deleuze|Guattari, and psychoanalysis for a climate in crisis (Dodds, 2011, Routledge).
