Burtejin Zorigt is a political scientist and gender equality expert. She currently works as a Programme Manager at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Prague, where she oversees the Democracy and Human Rights Programme in Hungary. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Central European University. Prior to joining HBS Prague, she was a postdoctoral researcher on the EU-funded ERC CIVILSPACE project, focusing on the shrinking legal space for civil society organizations in EU member states. She has also held research and project management positions at Eötvös Loránd University, the Hungarian Women’s Lobby, Amnesty International Hungary, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She has taught at Uppsala University in Sweden and Yangon University in Myanmar.
