Vaiva Bezhan

Vaiva Bezhan is a Lithuanian photographer with a BA in Graphic Design and an MA in New Media and Photography. Vaiva started her PhD in Art Communication in 2019 with a distinct focus on fake news and computer-generated imagery in the media at the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University. Vaiva has also worked as a photojournalist for RFE/RL, reporting from Afghanistan, Turkey, Russia, Kosovo, Britain, and the Czech Republic. Previously, she worked as a photographer and an art direction instructor at Prague Film School. Vaiva has a unique photographic style, describing herself as someone who combines poetic imagery with documentary. Vivid colors and a cinematic feel are signature elements of her work. Currently, she is exploring the impact of AI on documentary photography.
