Scholarships & Financial Aid

UNYP is keen for as many students as possible to have the opportunity to study in Europe in English. For this reason, we offer a number of scholarships, tuition fee reductions and financial incentives for students on our bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, MBA and Ph.D programs.

Rules for UNYP scholarships and financial aid

  • All scholarships, awards and discounts listed here apply only to courses/credits offered by UNYP, and not to those offered by partner universities (e.g. SUNY ESC)
  • The early payment discount is calculated before any other waiver or scholarship is applied.
  • Tuition waivers cannot be combined except for the early payment discount.
  • Applicants who apply for a scholarship will only have their first set of exam results taken into consideration.
  • All merit scholarships, awards and tuition dscounts must be applied for and awarded before the start of the program.

When a family fee waiver is applied, the tuition of the second family member is not refundable if the second member interrupts his/her studies.

The tuition fee waiver is calculated and deducted from the student’s tuition.

Bring a Friend Award

A 15,000 CZK award is provided to any student/alumnus introducing one or more friends to study any program at UNYP. The “friend” must be a new student on full-time tuition for at least one year of studies.

The “friend” must not have already been in contact with the university at any time in the past.

Transfer students from other institutions are eligible to receive the award but they must be full-time students at UNYP for at least one year.

The award is only paid after the “friend” is enrolled as a full-time student and has paid his/her tuition for one year or settles his/her instalment calendar in full.

The award will be credited to the student’s account after the second Drop and Add period of the new friend. The student must be active in that particular semester in order to be able to get the award.

This award will be used towards the student’s tuition. If the student is graduating in the following semester, the funds can be refunded to his or her bank account.

An official employer’s confirmation of full-time employment must be submitted at the time of application. The applicant must have already worked as a full-time employee for at least a full year at the time of application to be eligible for this tuition waiver. The waiver is also applicable to the children of such employees, but not to the spouses of such employees.

Corporate discounts

Corporate agreement discounts are available and are agreed with individual corporate institutions.

Alumni certificate discount

UNYP alumni with bachelor’s or master’s degrees who would like to take undergraduate or graduate courses respectively and earn a certificate in a different area/specialization are granted a 50% discount on the tuition of the specific course(s). This also applies to graduate students who would like to take undergraduate level courses to earn certificates during their studies at UNYP. The discount is not valid for any credits earned towards a degree or diploma, and cannot be combined with any other discount or scholarship.

Tuition payment plans

Finally, UNYP offers tuition payment plans. These are equal monthly payments that spread the cost of tuition over a semester with the addition of an instalment fee. The fee is calculated as a percentage (2% for daily programs and 3% for weekend programs) of the outstanding tuition amount. Payment plans are available for all UNYP study programs.
