On April 4–5, 2024, the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) had the honor of hosting the 23rd International Student Psychological Days (MSPD 2024) — a prestigious academic competition and scientific conference in psychology.
The event brought together bachelor’s and master’s students of psychology from universities across Czechia and Slovakia. Participants presented research papers that had advanced through departmental and faculty-level competitions at their home institutions. These outstanding works then competed for recognition as the best scientific papers at both national and international levels.
The primary goal of International Student Psychological Days is to provide a platform for students to present original research across a wide range of psychological disciplines. The conference supports the exchange of knowledge and academic experience, encourages critical discussion of theoretical and empirical findings, and promotes engagement with current social and psychological issues.
A significant milestone of MSPD 2024 was the introduction of English-language presentations for the first time in the event’s history. This important step creates new opportunities for UNYP students and strengthens the conference’s international dimension. In the upcoming academic year, a departmental competition will take place at UNYP, with winning students invited to present their research at Comenius University in Bratislava.
By hosting MSPD 2024, UNYP proudly continues its tradition of academic excellence and cross-border collaboration, reinforcing its commitment to supporting a dynamic, international community of emerging psychologists.
