Eighty-three UNYP students participated in International Teaching Week 2026, joining intensive courses led by visiting faculty from Germany, Spain, and the United States. Held from May 18-22, the annual initiative brought international expertise directly into the classroom and reinforced UNYP’s commitment to providing a global educational experience in Prague.
International Teaching Week is one of UNYP’s key internationalization initiatives. By welcoming faculty from partner universities, the program gives students access to diverse academic perspectives, innovative teaching approaches, and current global topics without leaving Prague.
This year, five visiting instructors delivered intensive courses across a range of disciplines, from leadership and psychology to sustainability, political marketing, and intercultural communication. Student participation exceeded expectations, demonstrating the strong demand for international learning opportunities on campus.

“International Teaching Week reflects UNYP’s commitment to internationalization at home. By welcoming faculty from our partner universities, we create opportunities for students to learn from experts with different academic and cultural perspectives while strengthening the international partnerships that enrich our academic community. We were delighted to see such strong student engagement throughout the week,” said Marie Stanovska from UNYP’s Center for Global Engagement.
Students explored a diverse range of topics, including:
Each course consisted of 15 teaching hours and enabled students to earn 1 US credit upon successful completion.
UNYP extends its sincere thanks to all visiting instructors for sharing their expertise, experience, and perspectives with our students and academic community. Their contributions enriched classroom discussions, strengthened academic collaboration, and helped make International Teaching Week 2026 a success.
Through initiatives such as International Teaching Week, UNYP continues to strengthen its academic network and provide students with opportunities to engage with visiting faculty, new ideas, and international classroom experiences.
UNYP is already preparing for International Teaching Week 2027, which will take place from May 17-21, 2027. The official call for proposals will be shared with partner institutions in September 2026.
