The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is proud to announce the launch of the Fashion Design Management Concentration, a new option within its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program developed in partnership with the New York School of Design (NYSD).
Fashion Design Management is a concentration within UNYP’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. Students who successfully complete the concentration also earn a Professional Fashion Design Certificate awarded by the New York School of Design. Participation in the concentration requires additional program fees.
Please note: Unlike UNYP’s standard BBA concentrations, Fashion Design Management includes an international study component at the New York School of Design in New York City and requires additional program fees.
Beginning with the Fall 2027 intake, the concentration combines business education in Prague with specialized fashion-focused studies and an immersive semester in New York City, offering students a unique opportunity to explore both the commercial and creative dimensions of the global fashion industry.
Through this collaboration, students complete the core BBA curriculum at UNYP while taking specialized coursework delivered by NYSD. As part of the concentration, students spend an extended semester at NYSD’s Manhattan campus, gaining exposure to one of the world’s leading fashion capitals.

Education should help students discover where their talents and ambitions can take them. By expanding our academic offerings into areas like fashion design management, we are creating new opportunities for students to explore their interests, combine creativity with business expertise, and build careers that reflect who they are.

Rector, University of New York in Prague
Fashion is one of the world’s most dynamic industries, requiring professionals who understand not only creativity and design but also management, branding, marketing, entrepreneurship, and business strategy.
The Fashion Design Management Concentration was created to address this intersection.
Students develop a strong business foundation through UNYP’s Bachelor of Business Administration program while gaining practical exposure to fashion design principles, product development, portfolio creation, and industry practice through NYSD.
Graduates will earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from UNYP and a Professional Fashion Design Certificate from the New York School of Design, combining a recognized business degree with specialized industry knowledge and international experience.
A defining feature of the concentration is the opportunity to study in both Prague and New York City.
Students begin their academic journey at UNYP, building expertise in business disciplines such as management, marketing, economics, accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship. During Semester 6, students transition to New York City, where they complete an intensive residency at the New York School of Design.
Located in Manhattan, NYSD provides access to professional learning facilities, fashion-focused coursework, industry workshops, guest speakers, and portfolio development opportunities within one of the world’s leading fashion ecosystems.
The experience is designed to provide students with valuable international exposure while helping them better understand the realities of a global industry.
The partnership between UNYP and NYSD reflects a shared commitment to preparing students for careers that increasingly require interdisciplinary knowledge, global perspectives, and practical experience.
By combining UNYP’s business education with NYSD’s specialized expertise, the concentration offers students a distinctive academic option that connects classroom learning with international industry exposure.
The Fashion Design Management Concentration will welcome its first cohort in Fall 2027.
