On which foundations are UNYP’s quality evaluation and quality assurance processes built?

• The university’s mission and core values.
• Compliance with Czech higher education law and accreditation standards.
• Alignment with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
• Adherence to other internationally recognized quality standards and procedures.

These processes involve key internal and external stakeholders, including internationally recognized external accreditors. Principles of transparency, continuous improvement, and proactive identification and correction of deficiencies guide them.

Who are the main actors in assuring and evaluating quality?

• The Rector oversees education quality and related activities.
• The Internal Evaluation Board is responsible for:
  • Setting rules for quality evaluation and assurance.
  • Preparing institutional-level evaluations of UNYP.
  • Reviewing applications for new study programs.
• Program guarantors ensure the quality of study programs through close collaboration with course guarantors and Deans of Schools.
• External quality evaluations at UNYP are conducted by the Czech National Accreditation Board (NAU) and UNYP’s international accreditors:
  • British Accreditation Council (BAC) – BAC’s evaluation reports are available on its website.
  • International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE).
• UNYP regularly publishes summary results of its institutional self-evaluations on its public website. This includes a comprehensive institutional self-evaluation every five years, with annual updates. Full self-reports are shared with UNYP’s academic community and governing boards. Additionally, the annual report includes a summary of UNYP’s progress towards its long-term strategic goals is included in the annual report.
