Rebecca Xiberras

Reb is a mental health counselor coming from Malta. They graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and then went on to get a Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling from the University of Malta. When Reb is not lecturing, they are a therapist working with various clientele. They teach various subjects including Social Psychology, Psychology of Transitions, Gender Psychology, and Diversity and Social Justice, here in Prague. Reb has been an activist in the mental health, human rights, and civil liberties fields for over 10 years.  They volunteered on European and National levels and also formed an LGBT NGO on the Island of Gozo. They are also a certified soft skills trainer. They have experience working with diverse number of clientele in therapy from addiction to childhood trauma to PTSD, depression and couple conflict. Reb's research area of interest are sexuality, gender, minority rights, group dynamics, trauma, identity, and relationships. They have researched Specifically on promiscuity and casual sex; and on sexual desire in long-term relationships.
