Five Vegan Places around UNYP

At UNYP, we are proud of our diversity. Our students and faculty come from many countries, and they have different styles, music tastes, and food preferences. In this article, we take a look at five vegan places in the neighborhood – although you don’t have to be vegan to enjoy plant-based food, and it’s always interesting to check out something new. All five places are located within ten minutes’ walk from the UNYP, so check them out and let us know what you think.

BistRAW
As the name suggests, BistRAW is not merely vegan but raw vegan, offering a variety of plant-based food that is sugar-free and gluten-free. Located just 60 m from UNYP, BistRAW serves raw soups, main courses, desserts, and many different teas. If your tastes run to the experimental and unique, BistRAW is an interesting option.

Forrest
Forrest Bistro is on Londýnská, just a minute’s walk from UNYP. It is a small place with a cozy atmosphere, offering plant-based versions of traditional dishes – for example, Czech goulash, Mexican quesadillas, and Greek gyros. Pay attention to the opening hours though: on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the restaurant is only open until 4 p.m.

Loving Hut
Loving Hut is an international chain of vegan buffets located in Africa, Asia, Europe, South and North America, and Oceania. You can choose between many vegan savory and sweet dishes and take as much food as you want; you will be charged per 100g. The nearest Loving Hut is a three-minute walk from UNYP.

Tree Sisters
Tree Sisters is a tiny café on Rumunská, again a three-minute walk away from UNYP. As well as excellent coffees, they offer a variety of plant-based cakes which are not only vegan but also free from gluten, lactose, and sugar, making Tree Sisters a good option for people with allergies.

Palo Verde Bistro
Nine minutes’ walk from UNYP, Palo Verde is a bistro that offers purely plant-based breakfasts, lunches, bowls, tapas, and desserts. Best of all, Palo Verde has a small green garden that allows you to sit outside on sunny days.
