TEDx returns to UNYP

On November 5th, the University of New York in Prague together with the UNYP Student Council will be hosting the next installment of TEDxUNYP. Following last year’s success, TEDx is returning back to the University of New York in Prague, this year focusing on creativity, inspiration, vision, originality and fantasies – in two words: “Pure Imagination.” Imagination is the driving force behind our dreams, desires and life goals. Without imagination and creativity we would easily get lost while trying to navigate through the daily struggles of living in the world we share with others.

The event will be held in three sessions each with three speakers and a prerecorded TED talk.  While the theme is “Pure Imagination”, the content of each TEDx talk will be as diverse as the speakers themselves with only the common thread to inspire people to think about how using one’s own imagination could mean making the world a happier place.

TED is a nonprofit initiative that focuses on sharing inspiring ideas and stories, usually in the form of short talks. The main TED conference is held annually in Vancouver, with other events taking place throughout the year across North America, Europe and Asia.

The TEDx concept was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “Ideas Worth Spreading”, and provides support for independent organizers around the world to create their own events such as TEDxUNYP.

TEDxUNYP is a free event hosted by the University of New York in Prague. Registration for the event is required with entry bracelet for the main UNYP Auditorium. Please see the event page for details for UNYP students, alumni and other guests.
