Dr. Ptáček is a clinical psychologist, a court appointed Forensic psychologist, as well as a psychotherapist. In addition to teaching at the Police University of Czech Republic and the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University, he is also Head of the Division for Education with the Czech Medical Chamber. He is also a member of board of editors of several international scientific journals – Medical Science Monitor (IF), Neuroendocrynology Letters (IF), Activitas Nervosa Superior and some other. He has published numerous research papers and several books. His current research interests include forensic, clinical and neuroscience topics. At UNYP, he teaches undergraduate courses in Health Psychology and Ethics in Psychology as well as the Professional Case Seminar in the Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology program. His interests are in culture and sport and he is also a certified trainer in fitness and bodybuilding.
